Take a look at Anthony’s Blog

What new information has emerged?

Well as you know that North Korea is freezing nuclear bombs so that they can send them over to America.  There are 6 nations working on this and those nations are: US, North and South Korea, Japan, China and Russia.  South Korea, China, the US and Russia - but not Japan - will provide 100,000 tonnes of fuel oil or an equivalent value of economic or humanitarian aid.South Korea, China, the US and Russia - but not Japan - will provide 100,000 tonnes of fuel oil or an equivalent value of economic or humanitarian aid.

What did you fing interesting about this topic?

The thing I found interesting was that you could freeze nuclear bombs.  I found that interesting because I never new you could freeze nuclear bombs and also that makes them not explode.  Another thing that I found interesting was that 6 different countries were working together so they could ship the bombs from North Korea to America.

What did you like about the initial blog?

What I liked about Anthonny’s blog was that it was very informative towards me because I found out allot of new things that I had never known before.  Also I find North Korea very interesting because I think it is very wrong to make all the people stay in North Korea because it is like keeping animals in captivity.

current events- 16 people were killed because of a suicide bomber!

What is the issue?

16 people were killed and 33 wounded  just because 1 suicide bomber wanted to kill herself.  There were about 200 police recruits standing there when she jumpped.  The suicide bomber was in  Baghdad and was outside of the Muqdadiyah police station when she jumped.

Who was involved?

The 200 police recruits were involved because they were the ones standing there when she got killed. The  women of course because she was the one that made this event happen. And also the 33 people that were wounded and the 16 people that were killed were also involved.

Who is affected and how?

The people who were affected was the suicide bomber because she caused this mess and killed 16 people, so the 16 people who got killed because they got killed by the women that bombed it, the 33 people who got wounded because they got hurt badly and were scared for life, and most probably the 200 police recruits because they all have the vision of the bomb going off and a picture of a innocent person jumping and killing plenty of people.

What would you do if you were directally involved?

The thing I would do is trying to talk to the lady that was going to jump and find out why she wanted to jump and bomb herself/ kill herself.  The other thing I would do if that didn’t work is trying to find a way to make the bombs not go off and try to save her life some how and some way.

Adding onto Hylke’s blog~ Japan and their Whaling Problem

What new information had emerged?

Well as you know the Japanese are going with their “tradition” of whaling and are killing allot of Innocent whales. So the knew information that I found out about this was that Japan is making a deal with other poor coastal countries that they were offering fisheries aid to them so they would vote that they should keep whaling.

Japan has secured the help of eight nations at the IWC in this way: six eastern Caribbean states, (Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, St Kitts and Nevis), the Solomon Islands and most recently Guinea. All of these countries regularly go to the IWC meetings and say that they are going to vote that Japan can keep whaling and they are all in favor of that.

What did you dinf interesting about this topic?

Well before Hylke did this topic for his current event, I didn’t even know this was going on in the world.  The thing I find most interesting is that people treat animals as if they are absolutely nothing and that they are nothing in this world.  I think this is very wrong (even though I am not a vegetarian) that people are killing animals for the wrong reasons, and they are only really killing them because it is a tradition to the Japanese and that the Japanese have to bribe people to make them vote that they can keep whaling. But otherwise from that I do find this very interesting to find that whales are coming very close to extinction and that people can be so cruel.

What did you like about initial blog posting?

Well as I said before I had never ever heard of Whaling before Hylke had told us what it is and what is happening! I also liked when he said what he was going to do if he had the power to change things because I like the way he was so environmentally friendly and was willing to get help by other people and not just try and fix every thing on his own.

Current Event- Darfur, Sudan

Darfur

What is the issue?

In Darfur which is in Sudan there is a major was going on and millions of people are dieing because they are being forced from their homes and put in camps.

Who is involved?

The three types of people in which are involved are the Sudanese Liberation Army, Justice and Equality Movement, and most Sudanese people.

Who is affected and how?

All of the people who are in are being affected because of the war and allot of women because they go out to get fire wood and they could just be rapped.

What would you do if you were directly involved?

If I could do something I wouldn’t know what to do because I am such a young girl and i am only 1 in a million and so don’t think I would be able to do anything and even if I could I wouldn’t know what to do.

Where did I get this information from?

Where is Darfur?

People in Darfur

Babies in Darfur

What are the bombings doing to people

How the Greenhouse Effect is Effecting the World

What is the issue?

The issue is that the world is heating up because of the suns rays. So the earth uses it up and bounces back.  Also the heat tries to escape from the atmosphere and some escapes but not allot.

Who is involved?

The things that are involved are all living organisms, because the earth right now is at the very highest point it can be at and it cannot get any higher or else it will cause major tsunami’s and the animals will soon become endangered.

Who is affected and how?

Everyone and everything in the world right now is affected because the world is heating up rapidly and loads of things are being affected.

What do you think is a solution to this problem?

Well the greenhouse effect is pretty important but at this point it is heating up too fast.  So my solution is not to keep building greenhouses because right now the earth is at the very top line it can be at and we still need greenhouses but not as many as people want to.
